Re Introducing Something Old and Beautiful

Back in the day when things were well-made and lovely, there were spectacular items like goblets, Christmas ornaments and lamps made in a particular way and were called Mercury Glass.   It was also called Silvered Glass.  It was originally hand blown in double layers and silver nitrate and grape sugar was poured in the space and was sealed at the pontil.  In the mid 1800′s it was make in Bohemia and Germany  and later in England and the US.  It was considered when it was first introduced as an alternative to silver.

Now it’s back and looking good.  Come take a look at this “new” technology in mercury glass.
