Love Your Customers and They Will Love You Back!
November 20th, 2007 . by adminIn my physical shop I have always kept a Customer of the Month program. Send out a letter to your favorite customer. This title can be determined any way you like! Easiest to get along with, most fun, spends the most money, comes in and buys a little, LOTS of times, shares my political ideas……. Just send the note and offer a little something, a gift, a discount, but mainly what they receive is a little acknowledgment.
On Saturday a woman and her friend came in. They were going to shop in a town near ours, but since she had been sent a note saying she was that Customer of the Month, last year (!), they came to our town and my shop, instead. Between them they spent approx $700. AND she got her 10% discount. What we got was a devoted customer, a promise to come back sooner and a hug as we packed her car full of our merchandise. We all liked it!
I am now implementing a Customer of the Month program on my Etsy.com site. My first selection was offered Free Shipping on her next order, no matter how big or small. She, after proclaiming she had never been chosen for anything before, immediately purchased 8 items! I loved it and she got a bargain in the shipping. We are both happy!
Can’t wait to choose the next Much-Appreciated-Customer!
