Hi I was reading your “why we love antiques” section and I read the part where the admin is talking about the tea set with the japanese woman at the bottom. My grandmother has an extensive tea set like that with the woman at the bottom. It is black with like 7 cups and saucers with a milk thing and also a large pitcher in layed with gold and the markings and art on the pitcher and everything is raised with different colors. It is a beautiful piece I have always wanted it. She picked it up at a yard sale for like 15 dollars. Could this be worth a lot of money? Thanks for reading my long letter lol.

I would say that a cup and saucer with the geisha lithopane in great condition would probably be worth up to $15 each — just for the cup and saucer!
There is a site with lithopane Japan tea sets, I found it years ago. See if you can Google it and find out what it is worth. Not seeing it it’s hard to say. Good luck, tho, and keep me posted!
