Stunning STETSON POTTERY
August 13th, 2008 . by adminThe Louis Stetson family came from Poland and immediately saw the opportunity to supply the American consumer with decorated whiteware. He and his nephew began with decals, but loved the look of the handpainted, “American-looking” pottery. By the mid-forties they had their own company and were employing painters from Blue Ridge and Red Wing potteries. The look is similar to Blue Ridge — those primitive, stunning, brush strokes. Just right. I have recently gotten quite a collections. Come take a look!!
