Green is the the New (And Old) Big Color
June 11th, 2009 . by adminIt’s funny how color comes around. Someone was in the shop going on and on how robin’s egg blue and chocolate brown were the most fantastic colors together. It’s so TODAY, she said and isn’t amazing how no one noticed how great they looked together before this and before she had left the shop she noticed 1950’s dishes in their original boxes — you guessed it, in those same colors!
Right now green seems to be THE color. One of our dear customers told us that her best friend promised that when the time comes, she will rush out and paint her friend’s coffin green! Take a look at this wonderful little wicker and wood –and GREEN bench. It is English and it opens to hold your stuff. Really cute!

June 10th, 2009 . by adminRe Introducing Something Old and Beautiful
June 9th, 2009 . by adminBack in the day when things were well-made and lovely, there were spectacular items like goblets, Christmas ornaments and lamps made in a particular way and were called Mercury Glass. It was also called Silvered Glass. It was originally hand blown in double layers and silver nitrate and grape sugar was poured in the space and was sealed at the pontil. In the mid 1800’s it was make in Bohemia and Germany and later in England and the US. It was considered when it was first introduced as an alternative to silver.
Now it’s back and looking good. Come take a look at this “new” technology in mercury glass.
On to Bigger and Better — I Hope!
June 8th, 2009 . by adminEbay has done their best to nickle and dime and scold and legislate me right out of Ebay. This time it worked! I am actively looking for a more capitalist-friendly site. I may have found it……
I will keep you posted with results, it can’t be much worse than Ebay. Hopefully it will be as much fun as selling on Ebay used to be! Give bonanzle.com a look.
