In Due Time Collectibles

Recently I have heard it mentioned that to feed your furniture, choose a “green” alternative such as cooking oil or olive oil.  This is a particularly bad idea as it can change the top layer of the wood and darken it or, even worse, it can go rancid!  It will smell!!  For all of your furniture, choose a good wax based product.  Briwax is a terrific one.  Do shy away from the store bought sprays as the silicon in them that will damage the finish.

These little darlings are filled with personality and tenderness!  They are Faerie Glen and come in two styles.  The little guys are boy and girl fairies , some talking to animals or butterflies, some shading themselves with leaves, one little boy fairy is holding up an adorable little green worms.  Know any little boys that like worms!?!

Some of these are dear little boxes with a fairy on top!  Can’t you just see these used as boxes containing that  little promise ring?  The wings are transparent and iridescent and the coloring is gentle and carefully done.

There was an old Victorian home in Nashville, GA.   Everything inside looked like every page in Country Home or Country Living or Southern Living or ANY magazine!  They are moving back to Arizona and In Due Time got the bid!!  We are buying truck loads of primitive furniture, signs, antique toys and, oh, yes, the item that sealed the deal — SOCK MONKEYS!  Lots of them and so much more!  My, oh my.  Are you folks going to love her things!!

You will read about this in the Moultrie Observer in a day or two. A great In Due Time customer and a terrific person, Nancy Willingham, came to our shop with a wonderful idea! She makes THE MOST beautiful, hand-made greeting cards. She donates all the proceeds from the cards to send parcels to servicemen and women in Iraq and Afghanistan. We have a list of items to be sent and a collection basket and, of course, the cards, at In Due Time. Come in and drop a chap stick or any item on the list, into the basket and take a look at these lovely cards. The price is equal or less than purchasing a card at CVS or one of the Marts! And each is hand-made!

This darling set of 3 nesting tables are made of metal, painted in the brightest of spring and summer colors. Perfect for pool, patio or teenage room! Just right anywhere you want to add a punch of bright, cheery color!

Just heard a great idea.  Should anyone in your household collect stuffed animal, pillows — really anything stuffed, they could contains dust mites, to which some folks are allergic.  Put the item in an airtight baggie and place in freezer for at least 48 house.  Apparently those lil ol’ dust mites cannot take it!
