Once upon a time there was a lovely little velvet jewel box. On the outside was a neat little mother of pearl button with which to open this box. One the inside there was a delicate necklace and earrings that matched. There was a jeweler’s name in the container and I thought it would make a dear display case for the 3 pieces. In order to drop the chain of the necklace down inside, I pulled the satin away from the lid of the box. That’s where it got interesting!
Tucked down inside was a tiny wishbone, wrapped with peach colored satin ribbon!! What was it doing there, how long had it been since it saw the light of day? So much of the inventory of my shop, seems as if it has a story to tell. This was probably a wonderful one!

We do this once a year. On the second Saturday in February, we will host our annual Store-wide 45% Off Sale!! If you told Don Hancock that you wanted a coffee table and end table of beautiful heart pine and they had to have the rough look, but be free of splinters for children to be safe, and the ends had to be rounded off for the same reason, this might be how they would turn out! The tables are brand new, made of 100 year old heart pine! Nice, Don, very nice.
Before Christmas several folks had wanted to buy Eden’s Angels Birthstone Angels for their grandchildren and for assorted nieces and friends. Although we had a good stock, we were not able to fill the orders for “3 April and 2 November. We have just ordered 3 of each month in addition to our current stock. In a few weeks, come in take a look and fill those orders while the stock is complete!
The Birthstone Angels are lovely just as they are, but each one has a birthstone tucked somewhere on them! The little jewels are tucked into their wings, or in their hands — each a little treasure. Each Angel comes with a little card that tells about the month and the birthstone. A lovely and thoughtful gift!!
The other Angels depict a mother and baby, a newlywed couple, mother and daughter and many others. They are perfect for just so many special occasions! The wonderful newlywed Angels have been shown as a Best Seller in gift shops all across the country.
Eden’s Angels is also a donor to the Make A Wish Foundation. Monies from the purchase of each angel goes directly to Make a Wish. 
Every month we will be awarding a door prize, or in this case, a blog prize to someone who checks out our blog and sends a message just saying “Hey, I came and took a look!”. Want to hear a great idea we heard last week?
As you have probably noticed, we are still offering our Christmas related items at 45% off. A woman came in and bought approximately a dozen ornaments. She said each time she gives a newlywed wedding gift, she encloses a Christmas ornament. The first few years a couple really doesn’t have many Christmas decorations. And, she said, a wedding gift in June is hard to find an ornament, so she buys a supply in January when they are on sale, so she is set for a year of very thoughtful gift giving!
