In humid, hot south Georgia, we have all seen furniture with mildew or mold on it. According to The Furniture Doctor in Augusta, GA, the best way to fix this problem is a two-part solution.
First, mix up a batch of Murphy’s Oil Soap. This item is available at any hardware store, or even the Marts, I think. Take cotton, cotton balls for a small piece or a cotton sock or tee shirt for larger pieces. Work the piece until no more mold is seen. Then use Howard’s Restore-A-Finish to put the wood back in shape. In Due Time carries Howard’s and it comes in whatever color you need, or a natural finish if just the patina needs restoring.
Great products, great solution!

I just watched a news story on NBC news and they were touting a blast from the past as a way to help our economy and to re-train buyers in Pay-as-you-go. My, my at In Due Time and Now…I Have Everything our great customers have known about this method for all the years we have been in business!
Pick out anything you need as gifts or to furnish your home, pay 20 – 25% down and pay each week or every two weeks or even monthly, and take it home when it is paid. And there are no interest charges on a Layaway!! If you bring in your Christmas list, put a big pile of lovely items on the counter, and start a layaway, you will have it all paid off by Christmas! And we will, as always, gift wrap it for you, FREE.
Large purchase or small, help our economy by starting a LAYAWAY and show NBC what South Georgia has known all along, Layaway works!!

First Friday this month is MEET THE ARTIST. We are so fortunate that Jeanie Merritt lives in Moultrie and that she graces our shop with her paintings. Every painting she has allowed us to sell is cheerful, colorful and full of the energy and love she puts into them!
On Friday, November 7th from 6pm until 8pm we will be hosting Meet The Artist, Jeanie Merritt. Come in to In Due Time and Now…I Have Everything and meet the woman who has done all the wonderful paintings you have purchased for the last few years. Jeanie will be there and has a special treat, while supplies last. Of course, we will have door prizes and refreshments , as usual.
I asked Jeanie to tell us a little more about herself. In her own words:
“I was born in Stuart, VA. in 1958, the oldest of 5 children. My entire life I have always thought of creativity as one of my best friends. Whether I was helping with my brothers and sisters, in daycare for 30 years, or 12 years in foster parenting, or in the raising of my three children or now with my two grandchildren, creativity always showed up in every aspect of my life.
When I was a child, all I needed was something to make or just a piece of freezer paper to draw on. If I had that, I would be just fine. Therefore, now I look forward and find happiness when I get the chance to paint a picture on something unique. It is truly a wonderful fulfillment for me to paint something that someone wants for their home. It is wonderful to know that my pieces of art help make someone else’s home look and feel more like a home.
My pledge and promise to everyone is, ‘if you allow me to decorate your home with my art, I will try my very best to never, ever paint you an Ugly Picture!’ “.
